The Village of Senaru
The Village of senaru Village is located at the
base of Mount Rinjani. This mountain, its crater
lake, and the surrounding forest are all part of
National Park. senaru is but on of the 23 Villages
dotted around the mountain considered” gateways"
the trails into the park. Another of these villages
is Sembalun Lawang, on Rinjani's eastern slope.
From senaru, climber traverses dense tropical jungle
to reach the Rim of the crater, from where the view
of the lake bellow is incredible. at sunset, the
sky positively blazes with every color of the rain
bow. According to local legend, the history of senaru
is closely related to this crater, for villagers
consider the mountain itself as their ancestor.
Itinerary:
Day
01: senggigi - senaru - Rim I ( crater senaru )
Early Morning at 05.30am, Drive to Senaru village
- take 2 hrs, fetch porter, having breakfast then
start the beginning of challenging 7 hrs day. We
walk through pristine real rain forest, with tremendous
opportunities for viewing wildlife. Camp make on
the crater of Senaru (first Rim).
( The part way here simple goes straight up and
by time you a stagger into base camp 2 (two) in
time for lunch (from the senaru village to base
camp 2 take around 3 hrs). You are drenched with
sweat, but after hearty bowl of mountain soup prepare
by porters, you raring to go again. Its about 2
hrs we are in base camp 3, than continue to the
crater for overnight).
Day 02: Rim I – Senaru Village - senggigi
Early morning, awhile you have morning breakfast
you can enjoy sunrise, morning view then at 8 am
we start for descent to Senaru village and your
transport back to the hotel is ready for transfer
you. Before 5 p.m. you already in your hotel ( senggigi
or drop you to bangsal harbor for the Gili island).

Sembalun Valley
Highlands east of Mount Rinjani is Sembalun beautiful
valley with an altitude of 1.150m, the people who
claim to be from the Java Hindu-generation (Majapahit).
Sembalun Lawang, not only offers a beautiful route
to Mount Rinjani and to see the crater segara anak
lake, but also offers interesting tourist attractions.
Sembalun Lawang, is a rural area with a cool and
unique, comfortable and charming in lombok, dressed
plateau - flat - and a valley at the foot of the
mountain which is surrounded by hills
This time, Sembalun is a major producer of vegetables,
White-red onion, peppers, and fruits. To go to sembalun
we have cross the hill of 1600m asl, and along the
way is the beautiful scenery decorated by green
rice fields and hilly"
Itinerary:
Day 01: Senggigi – Sembalun Village – Sembalun
crater ( Rim II )
Early morning at 05.00 am drive to sembalun village
( it take around 3 hrs), and then start for the
beginning of 7 hrs challenging days. We walk through
the savannah, with tremendous opportunities for
viewing wildlife. Lunch in the route (base Camp
III), Camp make on the second Rim (Sembalun Crater).
Day 02: Rim II – Summit - Sembalun - Senggigi
From the crater, early morning (about 03.00 am)
commence the climb with Guide Team ascend the Summit
of Mt. Rinjani (3.726m a.s.l.), it takes about 3
hours. After the obligatory photographs and enjoy
the spectacular panorama descend to crater (the
camp). Arrive at the camp Having breakfast by special
mountain jaffle or pancake or scramble egg with
toast then we taking back to the sembalun village.
Around 3 o'clock noon you will be ready at Sembalun
village, and then around 6.00pm you will be arriving
at your hotel in senggigi.
